Viticulture

Towards a respectful viticulture

We believe in the balance of nature, in learning to listen to it and trying to understand its messages and each and every one of its gestures. This is the way in which we understand that good grapes make good wine.

“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”. This marvellous quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (The Little Prince) has always made us pause and think.

At Tres Piedras we work with the resources that our surroundings provide, always showing our respect for the biodiversity of the area.

The foundation of our philosophy and values is based on working the land with our hands, practising organic, sustainable agriculture that is free from pesticides, fungicides and chemical fertilizers.

Since we started our project in 2007, we have felt captivated by the land, by its strength and energy. We admire its wisdom, which is why we respect its natural rhythms and its life cycles. Our maxim is to live in harmony with the Earth, Work, and Time – the three pillars of Tres Piedras.

By practising regenerative viticulture we are changing the way we interact with the land. This allows us to prevent the loss of, in only a year, the same amount of fertile land that it would take nature 300 years to create. We create living soil. In this sense, the bond between the vineyard and its biodiversity becomes stronger and stronger.

We are committed to the land, committed to regenerating it and keeping it alive for future generations, while at the same time improving the production and quality of our wines.
